New businesses, as well as residents of Cheyenne homes and businesses populating our commercial real estate in Cheyenne and Laramie County, benefit greatly from the vibrancy of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. Entrepreneurs and businesses relocating to Cheyenne real estate find a welcoming and top-notch group of colleagues at the Chamber.
Hundreds of members volunteer for committees, boards, fundraising campaigns, task forces, advocacy efforts and other community volunteer programs. Why? Individual members of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce bond together in their determination to plan for Cheyenne’s bright future.
"If you plan for success you may have challenges along the way but you will end up much closer to the goal of a vibrant successful community," says President/CEO Dale Steenbergen in the January 2011 Cheyenne Business Monthly.
The focus of the Chamber's mission centers on creating a strong local economy, promoting the Cheyenne community, representing business interests at various levels of government, and providing members with business networking opportunities. The Chamber holds monthly luncheons, grand openings, and provides support to new residents and incoming businesses.
In 2010, members advocated for better conditions for National Guard and F.E. Warren Air Force Base and weighted in on the START treaty, fought for cost-effective health care by working for a privatized system, and much more. Chamber members met with elected officials offering solutions to current business challenges.
New businesses are taking advantage of Cheyenne's top-rated incentives to relocate here. Businesses from mom-and-pop retail shops to large worldwide companies are opting to expand infrastructure, begin operation, or start construction. Commercial building valuations are up dramatically. Recently, our Wyoming tax environment received national attention as a low tax business climate.
Cheyenne is located at Interstates 25 and 80 an hour and a half from downtown Denver--in a perfect location for transportation and communications. Its Wyoming properties offer "A blend of the old and new West" with cultural diversity and variety. From the annual Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration and world's largest outdoor rodeo to museums, symphonies, theater, attractions, and events, everyday is a celebration. Cheyenne is a great place to live. And the invigorating Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce is one leading reason why the community thrives.
