Jim Woods got his start in the construction industry in 1992 working as a carpenter in Minnesota building, remodeling and maintaining group homes for people with disabilities. In 1994 he returned home to Cheyenne and worked his way from carpenter in his father’s construction company, through production work, superintending, and finally vice president and project manager in charge of three other superintendents and an estimator. As business increased, and scheduling subcontractors became problematic, he initiated the addition of a framing company and drywall company to the work rolls of his father’s company, thus gaining additional control of the construction process.
Late in 2007, it became evident that it was time to take the final step and begin the process of starting his own company. Joined by his youngest brother Josh, Woods Brothers Construction was born. Both Jim and Josh are on the job site every day, and are passionate about insuring their homes meet their high standard of quality.
Jim and Josh have deep roots, with four generations of family in the community, and share a commitment to build quality homes that will enrich the lives of the families who buy their homes. They take pride in helping their customers live the American Dream of home ownership.
